This fire represents the spread of the media. We can see here the acuity of the artist in choosing to represent it by fire bec. Its like fire in spreading very quickly. It also represents the proverb: "knowledge is power" & thats why the artist chose fire as it brings light on the ongoing events & that's why the edges of the painting are dark coz. the light doesnt reach them. The fire can also be destructive just like the media if its NOT truthful.
